Conversations: Your messages and AI responses are stored to generate your profile. They are not used to train AI models.
Profile: The generated profile is stored linked to your session or account.
Feedback: If you provide feedback, we store your ratings and comments.
Account (optional): If you sign in with Google, we store your name, email, and profile picture. With a magic link, we only store your email in our database — the email itself is sent via Resend (see 'Who gets your data').
What we don't do
We don't show ads or build an advertising profile of you.
We don't sell your data to third parties.
We don't use your conversations to train AI models.
We don't share your profile unless you choose to.
Temporary analytics
Until 30 June 2026 I'm temporarily using Microsoft Clarity to see whether visitors — for example from Instagram — find the site and how they use it: which pages they view and where they drop off. It helps me see what works now that The Flow is just starting.
Clarity measures anonymously — no name, no email. It is configured so the text on screen (your conversation, your profile) is masked and not recorded. Clarity does set cookies for this. After 30 June 2026 this measurement stops automatically.
Where we store data
Server-side data is stored in our PostgreSQL database at Neon (eu-west-2 / London). Encrypted at rest (Neon encryption) and in transit (HTTPS). Conversations are also stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so you can pause and resume — you can clear local data at any time.
We keep your data until you delete it. Not longer, not shorter. And: we don't keep backups. That's deliberate — when you delete your data, it's really gone, also for us. Want to keep your profile? Download it yourself as PDF or Word; we can't restore it for you later.
Who gets your data
To make the app work, we use a few external services. Here's which, for what, and what they see:
Anthropic (Claude): processes your conversations to generate your profile. Anthropic doesn't use API data for model training and retains it for up to 30 days for safety monitoring. Why Anthropic? →
Neon: our database, hosted in the EU (London, eu-west-2). All data encrypted.
Vercel: hosting platform for the website itself. Vercel sees which pages are requested (access logs), not what's in your conversation.
Resend: only for magic-link sign-in emails. Resend sees your email address to deliver the email.
Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google then shares your name, email, and profile picture with us.
Lemon Squeezy: only if you make a purchase (Verdiepingslenzen or Samen-verder). Lemon Squeezy handles payment and has your email and billing info.
Microsoft Clarity: temporarily (until 30 June 2026), to anonymously measure how the site is used. Sees which pages you view and your click and scroll behaviour — not the text of your conversation or profile.
None of these parties get access to your profile. Anthropic sees the content of the conversation (they're the AI giving the answers); no one else.
Your rights
